Hydrographic Surveying

Hydrographic surveying of large bodies of water requires highly trained personnel and a serious commitment to technology and equipment. We have made that commitment since the mid 1980's and have become recognized as the primary provider of these services throughout the entire upper Midwest. Our crews have surveyed over 700 miles of the Missouri River and worked on all of its mainstem reservoirs. In addition, the firm has completed many projects on the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers and dozens of major tributaries. We have surveyed and mapped many natural lakes as well.
Eisenbraun and Associates owns and operates several specially-built hydrographic surveying vessels. Our personnel utilize GPS positioning in conjunction with our dual-frequency or single-frequency survey fathometers to complete many of our surveys. Our crews also use Acoustic Doppler Current Profile (ADCP) equipment to complete velocity and discharge surveys on rivers and streams of all sizes.
