Hydrographic Surveys

Hydrographic surveying of large bodies of water requires highly trained personnel and a serious commitment to technology and equipment. We have made that commitment since the mid 1980's and have become recognized as the primary provider of these services throughout the entire upper Midwest. Our crews have conducted surveys along all 811 miles of the Missouri River below Gavins Point Dam and completed hydrographic surveys on all of its mainstem reservoirs as well. In addition, the firm has completed many projects on the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers and dozens of major tributaries. We have surveyed and mapped many natural lakes as well.
Eisenbraun and Associates owns and operates six specially-built hydrographic surveying vessels. Our personnel utilize GPS positioning in conjunction with our survey grade fathometers to complete many of our surveys. Our crews also use Acoustic Doppler Current Profile (ADCP) equipment to complete velocity and discharge surveys on rivers and streams of all sizes.
