Lower Boulder Creek Bridge Survey
US Army Corps of Engineers-Omaha District

The US Army Corps of Engineers engaged Eisenbraun and Associates to perform a topographic and utility survey on 300 acres in Boulder County, Colorado. Lower Boulder Creek traverses the site with three bridges spanning the watercourse. The bridge openings were to be surveyed to capture the necessary data for hydraulic analysis. The openings would be very difficult to survey accurately using conventional survey methods.
The E/A Approach
E/A used their laser scanner to survey each bridge opening from a safe distance without the complications of working on or under the bridge itself. The scanner was able to measure a complete opening of the bridge quickly and safely.
The Outcome
The scanned bridge opening data was incorporated into the topographic map of the project. E/A efficiently completed the project within budget and within the project schedule.
