North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Boundary Survey
near Colorado Springs, Colorado

The Omaha District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers commissioned Eisenbraun and Associates to re-establish government boundary lines at the US Air Force NORAD facility near Colorado Springs, Colorado. Over two miles of government boundary would need to be surveyed, all in heavily wooded and steep Rocky Mountain terrain.
The E/A Approach
Eisenbraun and Associates traveled to the high-security, underground Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Base facility and re-surveyed, placed monumentation, and completed platting and recording of major portions of the base boundary. The project was later modified to add another mile and a half of boundary that was also re-established.
The Outcome
The project was successfully completed and final plats were delivered three months ahead of schedule.
