Fox Run Sewer Project
Yankton, South Dakota

To spur commercial and residential growth in the northern part of Yankton, South Dakota, the City of Yankton purchased a large tract of land on the north side of the city. The development would include a mix of commercial and residential development centered around an 18-hole golf course named Fox Run. The residential development would be to the north end of the property. A new outfall main would need to be constructed to provide sanitary sewer service. The most pressing design challenge for this project would be laying out the sanitary sewer in a manner that remained unobtrusive to the golf course, yet provide easy access to manholes for periodic service. Eisenbraun and Associates was contracted to take up this design challenge.
The E/A Approach
Eisenbraun and Associates completed the design within the strict criteria provided. In addition, E/A assisted the City with the bid process, provided construction staking, and monitored and administered services for the project.
The Outcome
The Fox Run Sewer project was completed on a timely basis and within budget. Today, the Fox Run development on the north end of Yankton maintains the vibrant growth that the City and E/A had envisioned at the inception of its development.
