Fox Run Sewer Project

Yankton, South Dakota

To spur commercial and residential growth in the northern part of Yankton, South Dakota, the City of Yankton purchased a large tract of land on the north side of the city. The development would include a mix of commercial and residential development centered around an 18-hole golf course named Fox Run. The residential development would be to the north end of the property. A new outfall main would need to be constructed to provide sanitary sewer service. The most pressing design challenge for this project would be laying out the sanitary sewer in a manner that remained unobtrusive to the golf course, yet provide easy access to manholes for periodic service. Eisenbraun and Associates was contracted to take up this design challenge. Eisenbraun and Associates completed the design within the strict criteria provided. In addition, E/A assisted the City with the bid process, provided construction staking, and monitored and administered services for the project. The Fox Run Sewer project was completed on a timely basis and within budget. Today, the Fox Run development on the north end of Yankton maintains the vibrant growth that the City and E/A had envisioned at the inception of its development.
