Eighth Street Extension

City of Yankton, South Dakota

The City of Yankton, South Dakota selected Eisenbraun and Associates to perform complete surveying, engineering design, and construction supervision for the east extension of Eighth Street in the city that was necessitated by the expansion of a local manufacturing plant. The work for this project was completed within two stages under a tight timeframe. The first stage involved the construction of water mains and sanitary sewer. The second stage followed in the spring with the construction of the storm drainage system and the PC concrete pavement. The 41-foot wide street section was constructed monolithically with all concrete for the project being placed within a fast-track construction schedule. The resulting project will serve this industrial area of Yankton for many years to come..
