Pheasant Run Swine Facility

Hutchinson County, South Dakota

Eisenbraun and Associates provided comprehensive engineering consulting and design service to Spectrum Pork Systems for their construction of Pheasant Run Feedlot in Hutchinson County, South Dakota. The facility, now completed, can house at maximum 3,560 animals – 2,792 gestating sows, 480 farrowing sows, 224 replacement gilts, and 64 boars. The waste containment plan for the facility is a shallow pit pull plug system with a holding pond of effective 9’9’’ foot storage depth. Eisenbraun and Associates helped the facility come to fruition all within strict environmental standards set by the SD Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
