Two new hydro survey boats soon to join Eisenbraun fleet

Clark Custom Boats of Bellevue, Iowa, is nearing completion on the construction of two new hydrographic survey vessels for Eisenbraun and Associates.   The boats will be operational by March 2010.  The new vessels will augment the existing fleet of six survey boats that the firm currently operates.  The new vessels will be fully equipped with survey grade fathometers, GPS positioning equipment, computers and monitors for a two-person hydrographic survey crew.  The custom built 19’ welded aluminum boats sport an 8’ cabin that provides excellent environmental control.  Like all the other survey boats owned by the firm, the new vessels have an in-hull transducer pit with a glass bottom to allow the sonar data to be captured safely from inside the boat.  The additional capacity that the new boats will bring to the firm will be helpful in accomplishing the survey of a large portion of the Mississippi River between St. Paul and St. Louis in 2010.  Eisenbraun and Associates’ hydro crews will also be completing the survey and bathymetric mapping of eleven major reservoirs throughout Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa in 2010.  In the Fall of 2009, EA crews completed a survey of 500 miles of the Missouri River between St. Louis and Rulo, Nebraska, within a 2.5 month timeframe.
